NS and CrowdCows partner to tackle event congestion at Bijlmer station
Case Study: NS and CrowdCows partner to tackle event congestion at Bijlmer station
When major events take place at the Johan Cruijff Arena, Ziggo Dome, and AFAS Live, NS (Dutch Railways) faces a significant increase in passenger numbers at Bijlmer station. That’s why they asked CrowdCows to collaborate on a strategy to further disentangle passenger flows and minimize crossflow in the station. It’s a challenge we’re eager to tackle with innovative solutions! 💡
We’ve joined forces to explore how we can assist NS in better managing the crowds in the station hall and ensuring smooth traffic flow. By deploying just 5 HIKERS with cleverly designed content aimed at unconsciously influencing behavior 🧠, we’ve developed a unique approach.
Based on the CHILD ego (according to Eric Berne’s theory) and Daniel Kahneman’s intuitive System 1 thinking, we offer effective communication that subtly and effectively guides visitors.
The result? A significant reduction in crossflow in the station hall and an increase in the processing capacity of Amsterdam Bijlmer-ArenA station following major events! 🎉
At NS & CrowdCows, we strive to provide innovative solutions that positively impact travelers’ experiences, especially during busy events. 🌟
