Notting Hill Carnival is one of the largest street festivals in the world — and the biggest in Europe. On 24 and 25 August 2025, close to two million people filled the streets of West London to celebrate Caribbean culture.

The British Grand Prix is one of the largest sporting events in the UK. In 2025, Silverstone welcomed 500,000 people through its gates across the race weekend of 4-6 July — a figure the circuit published itself. The hardest moment of an event that size is not the arrival. It is the exit: a few hundred thousand people deciding to leave at roughly the same time, most of them heading for a shuttle bus.
In late June 2024, the AfD held its federal party conference at the Grugahalle in Essen. Tens of thousands of people travelled to the city that weekend to demonstrate, spread across dozens of registered protests — one of the largest public-safety operations in the city’s history. Keeping that many people informed and moving safely calls for clear, real-time crowd communication. That is why client Stadt Essen brought in CrowdCows.
Every year the northern German village of Wacken turns into the largest metal festival in the world. The 35th edition ran from 29 July to 1 August 2026 and was sold out: 85,000 tickets. Visitors arrive days before the first band and effectively live on site — which means the information that matters is not just the line-up, but the weather, the instructions at the gate and the last train home. That is why the organisers brought in CrowdCows. (more…)
Major events at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Ziggo Dome and AFAS Live send a sharp peak of passengers through Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station. NS asked CrowdCows to help develop a strategy that separates passenger flows further and minimises crossflow in the station hall.
For four days, the fields around Lichtenvoorde, Lievelde and Vragender turn into one of the largest festival sites in the Netherlands. Zwarte Cross 2026 ran from 16 to 19 July; day tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday sold out and the campsite was almost entirely full. Guiding that many visitors across a site of this size calls for clear information at the right moment — not tighter control, but smarter communication. That is why organiser Feestfabriek brought in CrowdCows. (more…)
Since 1980, Bospop has grown from a regional stage into a three-day rock festival in Weert, the Netherlands. The 2026 edition took place from 10 to 12 July, with a programme spread across the festival site and the campsite. Visitors moving between several zones need the same information at any moment: where to go, what starts next, and what happens if an area gets busy. That is why the organisers brought in CrowdCows. Six days, more than 280 concerts and some 250,000 visitors: Paléo Festival Nyon is the largest open-air festival in Switzerland. Moving that many people across a single site day after day calls for communication that lands at the moment someone makes a choice. That is why Paléo Festival brought in CrowdCows. (more…)
Every year, Nuremberg’s Zeppelinfeld turns into one of Germany’s largest festival sites. For Rock im Park 2026 — the sold-out sister festival of Rock am Ring — up to 80,000 visitors (more…)
