Bospop
Crowd communication at the festival site in Weert

Since 1980, Bospop has grown from a regional stage into a three-day rock festival in Weert, the Netherlands. The 2026 edition took place from 10 to 12 July, with a programme spread across the festival site and the campsite. Visitors moving between several zones need the same information at any moment: where to go, what starts next, and what happens if an area gets busy. That is why the organisers brought in CrowdCows. We deployed our crowd communication at the busiest points on site, at the entrances and across the campsite — keeping the reach going outside stage hours, when the campsite fills up. From our control room, the operator drove the messaging: programme information and walking routes as standard, with a single switch to safety messaging the moment it is needed. Because the site and the campsite ran on the same system, the event team could reach visitors everywhere at once — including outside stage hours, when the campsite is at its busiest. The same infrastructure therefore serves both safety and visitor comfort.

Notting Hill Carnival is one of the largest street festivals in the world — and the biggest in Europe. On 24 and 25 August 2025, close to two million people filled the streets of West London to celebrate Caribbean culture.

The British Grand Prix is one of the largest sporting events in the UK. In 2025, Silverstone welcomed 500,000 people through its gates across the race weekend of 4-6 July — a figure the circuit published itself. The hardest moment of an event that size is not the arrival. It is the exit: a few hundred thousand people deciding to leave at roughly the same time, most of them heading for a shuttle bus.
In late June 2024, the AfD held its federal party conference at the Grugahalle in Essen. Tens of thousands of people travelled to the city that weekend to demonstrate, spread across dozens of registered protests — one of the largest public-safety operations in the city’s history. Keeping that many people informed and moving safely calls for clear, real-time crowd communication. That is why client Stadt Essen brought in CrowdCows.
