Lollapalooza Berlin
Crowd communication at Lollapalooza Berlin

Lollapalooza started as a travelling festival and has been an annual fixture since 2005, now staged in major cities worldwide — including Berlin. The two-day festival at the Olympiastadion welcomes more than 140,000 visitors. Guiding that many people safely and smoothly calls for clear, real-time communication. That is why the organisation brought in crowd communication from CrowdCows.
We positioned 14 HIKER screens at strategic points around the stadium, driven from the safety control room. The safety coordinator instructs our operators on the scenarios to play; if a scenario is unplanned, we create the right content on the spot within seconds. In an emergency, the messaging switches straight to safety announcements.
