Rock im Park
Crowd communication at a sold-out Zeppelinfeld

Every year, Nuremberg’s Zeppelinfeld turns into one of Germany’s largest festival sites. For Rock im Park 2026 — the sold-out sister festival of Rock am Ring — up to 80,000 visitors a day filled the grounds across three days. Guiding crowds of that size safely and smoothly calls for clear, real-time communication. That’s why organiser ARGO Konzerte brought in CrowdCows.
We installed more than 25 HIKER LED screens at strategic points around the Zeppelinfeld, fed by our DVB-T2 broadcast system and driven by our Crowd Communication Controller system. From the central control position, our operator kept visitors continuously informed about walking routes, busy areas and arrivals. In the event of an incident, standard messages switch instantly to safety announcements.
The system was built up in the days before the festival and dismantled and transported afterwards — a cross-border operation that our Dutch team carried out seamlessly together with our German branch.
